The movement is contained in a brass sphere, painted dark blue. The pendulum is suspended from a silk yoke and rotates above the movement. The trefoil base is gilt wood, with a marble support beneath that. The movement appears to be clean and the clock is running and keeping time (these are not perfect time-keepers). There is a brass scab repair to one of the brass uprights (only visible on close examination). Height 16.5" These usually sell for around $3000. Reserve $2100
