The image of this clock is deceiving, as the actual height is 16.25', and the time dial is nearly 7'; dial signed T. Kirkpatrick (the retailer). Three subsidiary dials in the base indicate day, date, and month. The original gilding on the dial is intact, and the case retains original lacquer over polished brass (with some discoloration). Has a quality square movement, with an oversize mercurial pendulum, and linkage to robust calendar mechanism. Strikes the hours on a large coiled gong. Beveled glass is all intact; a very heavy clock; Height 16.25'
