C.1890, French, Gilded Spelter Conical clock, rotary pendulum. The case has art themes-an easel and cameo at the right, and a large winged cherub at left, and with garlands of peony along the base. This is a nice striking model in good condition, with original gilding, and with some minor repairs to the case (one wing on cherub and the hook re-soldered in his hand), and minor touch up with gold paint on wear spots. Like the previous 2 lots, the pendulum hangs via thread suspension and moves in a rotary motion that circumscribes the shape of a cone while running. Porcelain dial is excellent and with original moon hands. Movement cleaned and running. Height 14" Reserve $2200
