We've not seen this exact clock before, however it is very similar to one illustrated in Derek Roberts' book: Mystery Novelty and Fantasy Clocks, (1999), page 259, fig 22-15 (Mr. Roberts' has the barometer in the lantern instead of lower left). It is not animated, but the number of naval items on display is interesting: there is an anchor, two block and tackle set ups, ships wheel (containing the clock), and a light housing, top center. - the whole setting on a double stepped marble base with gilt trim. Both the clock and barometer are in working order, and have been in daily use. Note the barometer reference hand has been replaced since the photo was taken. Height 10" Reserve $3500
