black with red mottled accents, and with a quality round, bell strike movement with open escapement on the dial. And with Ellicot's compensating style pendulum, swinging behind a heavy pane of beveled glass in a brass frame. Both the dial and movement signed A la Gerbe d'Or, H. Chapus Fils, 86 Rue de Rivoli, PARIS. These are heavy and imposing clocks, in need of a sturdy table or mantel to support them. This is about as good as it gets for this style clock; Height 19" Reserve $375
