Traditional bronzed spelter statue, holding pendulum which swings with no apparent impulse. This clock came to us from a home in Queens, and we had to wash 20 years of nicotine from the dial just to take the picture. There are some nicks and scrapes to the moldings of the black marble case, but none major. The black slate dial with incised and gilt numerals is excellent. Best of all the statue retains original patina and with fancy cast pendulum bob that we rarely find (see detail image). Runs and strikes, but would benefit from service if you want to run this daily. Height 24" (61cm) Modest reserve of $4300
