gong striking movement with brocot escapement, the helical spring torsion pendulum forming the animated "light" of the tapered brickwork case. The case is made of brass and was originally gilt and silver, now polished to brass, and with dust and oxidation. The minute hand is replaced (lacks spade to match hour hand), the clock is otherwise complete and sound, runs and strikes on a gong, but would benefit from service. Height 24" Reserve $5750
