The quality of the mounts on this clock is superb. The gilding on the bronze is hiding under a layer of dirt that will clean right off in solution (do not rub); the top urn decorated with tailed busts with eagle head-dress. The marble case is sound with no chips nor cracks. Quality French bell strike movement is numbered 415 with original matching no. pendulum. This is a very heavy clock; special shipping required. An excellent example of America"s interest in Egyptian motif in the late 1800s. Height 17.75'
