C.1895, French, Onyx and Brass Crystal Regulator, the bow front door flanked by full standing columns with Corinthian capitals and urn bases, the central shafts decorated with blue, white and red cloisonne, and the roof and base moldings, along with the dial and large bun feet similarly decorated. The gilt dial with both enameled bezel and dial center; the dial signed: A La Gerbe d'Or, a Chapus, 86 Rue Rivoli, Paris. The well made Marti bell strike movement also bearing the full signature of Gerbe d'Or. The onyx top and base are in good condition, unbroken, with only minor corner abrasion. All glass bears a heavy bevel, all perfect except for the front glass with a top right corner chip. Mercury pendulum intact. An exceptional crystal regulator. Height 12 " Reserve $1400
