The movement on this clock is of exceptional quality, fancy flourishes everywhere, and retains original platform with butterfly verge (extensions visible through the top lens) Both the porcelain dial and alarm dial are set into an engraved surround of flowers in full bloom. Although there is some wear to the gilding along the edges, it is still quite bright. The seconds hand is a replacement, otherwise excellent and original throughout. C. Allix quotes the Tribune Chronometrique: "Bourdin"s pendules de voyage (are) excellent in all details' Height 6'
