with hand carvings top and bottom. Note the top carving had come off at some time and the Frenchman who put it back on had consumed too much wine, and it is over 2" to the right of center. Otherwise this is a LARGE and interesting clock, with a 12" dial and 33" overall length. Retails a good French movement and strikes the hours and halves on a gong. Note porcelain numeral III is turned slightly in photo - it is not damaged. Height 33" $225-325
