There are some hairlines in the fancy porcelain dial that only show on the closest inspection - totally absent in the photos shown. Otherwise, this is a great set with fabulous ormolu mounted urns and the clock itself surmounted by a detailed and well chased lion. The gilding on all the parts is still bright. The quality bell strike movement is numbered 47888 and with pendulum length given as 140mm (I wish they all used that format). Lacy cast hands; original mercury pendulum intact. You do not often see this red and white mottled onyx; very impressive. Height 19" Reserve $1200
