patented by Robert Scott, Bradford, Yorkshire. Approximately 500 of these were made before the clock was discontinued, and very few remain today. See similar clock we sold in November of 1997,. This current clock has terminals for an external battery, but never had the battery box below that the '97 clock had. Moreover, this clock retains the original beveled glass cover with nickeled brass corners Lot 100 and mahogany top - note beveled mirror at rear has single horizontal crack. The movement is complete, but will need service and adjustment of the toggle. For a complete description of this clock, see Electrifying Time, catalog from the electric clock exhibition held at the Science Museum, London. Note pendulum moves from front to back. Height 15" We expect bidding interest on this clock well above the reserve of $1500
