with time dial to the left and the day and date to the right. We had a clock by the same company a few years ago with the time dial on the top and the calendar on the bottom-the movement identical. This one is much more substantial, the top and base of cast bronze, lightly gilded. The porcelain dial is perfect as is the beveled glass. One day movement. This was Japan's attempt to create a very good looking clock that was inexpensive to manufacture. Height 5 " Reserve $450
