with bracket. This is a well made clock, with porcelain dial (margin chip does not show with door closed). The well made Swiss movement has brushed plates and refinements like a spring loaded bell standard to avoid breakage. The cast brass hands are nicely tooled. But the most outstanding feature is the Vernis Martin style gold leaf applique, on both the front and sides of both clock and bracket; original patina with lots of alligatoring. A period piece would cost you dearly; this one with reasonable reserve; clock 20 inches, height (total) 28" Reserve $800
