C.1925, Swiss, Singing Bird Box, Sterling silver case , in excellent condition. The bird retains his original green and black feathers in good condition, and he sings his song with exceptional clarity and volume, all the while flitting back and forth and fluttering his wings. The case is hall-marked and with Sterling spelled out and "925", and is hand chased with cast caryatids at each corner, other faces, love birds and gargoyles around the box. The singing movement has been professionally restored; note you need to hold the button firmly to the right until the bird and cover are fully upright.
