weight driven presentation (gold front) banjo, in outstanding original condition. The consignor, an elderly lady in Manchester, received this clock as a gift in 1966, along with the Stennes brochure and prices (included with the lot). Elmer made this clock when he was still using old movements (before prison) and you can see in the detail image it has a good 19th Century unit installed. Both the dial and weight retain original Stennes signature. The brochure shows that this clock cost $290 at the time. When you figure that new cars now cost about 10 times what they cost 34 years ago, this clock should bring more than our estimate. Height 33" $1500-2000
