When China first opened up in the seventies, the originals of these clocks were imported into the US in great quantities. But when they ran out, the Chinese were creative enough to manufacture still larger quantities that appear to be antiques, but are not. This clock falls in the latter category. Movement is complete and sound and running; has engraved backplate. Side brackets have broken and been poorly soldered. Porcelain dial and surround are in good shape. Complete with original carved base. Height 19" $400-600
