Double door, eight-day, by E.N. Welch (paper label) and J.C Brown (signed dial). Most certainly from the 1850s when Brown failed and Welch bought remains of the business. Dial is very original and flaking but desirable Brown signature. Good intact Welch paper label. Eight-day movement strikes the hour on coiled gong. Original Bee Hive tablet with some flaking. 29 1/2" tall Additional keywords: mantel, mantle
