By Langley Bradley, London, c. 1720-1730. The lacquered case, brass dial, and hands are original period pieces. The eight-day movement is from mid 19th century, and adapted to the dial. The calendar aperture is inoperative, strikes the hour on a large gong. The seconds bit is missing from the picture but it is available. The paint on the case has been touched up; however the three wooden finials with gold leaf are period. 7'1 inch1 inches high overall. Additional keywords: longcase, tallcase, grandfather
