Solid walnut case wall regulator with four free-standing door columns white enamelled dial; brasss pendulum bob gallery rail top with acanthus leaf tiarabrass works; 6 bevelled glasses in door 34.75" tall x 15.75" wide. Fine condition.The chime mechanism has eight rods of very melodious tone. It strikes on four of the rods for the quarter hours and then on the other four rods to produce a full chord on the hours. The mechanism runs well and was made by the ODO (trade mark) company which was from the Morez District in France where the family (founded by Victor Odobez in the 1700's) produced outstanding clocks in the grand tradition of fine French clockmaking excellence.
