This is a French figural dore bronze mantle clock with 8 day count wheel bell strike movement with a silk thread pendulum suspension. It has a white convex enamel dial signed Isidore Grenot who is listed in Tardy's "Dictionary of French Clockmakers" working circa 1765-67. Highly detailed bronze work which depicts the mythological figure of Minerva with angels, swans, and butterflies. The 11 inches statue of Minerva has had two of her four wings removed some time ago , but she still looks fine. The dimensions of this clock are 16.5" 10 " 4.5". Running duration 8 Days
