A Extremely large First empire French ormolu and bronze cupid and psyche mantel clock by "Gaullin" a Paris, 8-day silk suspension movement chiming on a bell with engined turned watersilk gilt dial, hour and half hour striking on a bell. The arched case depicting pomegranates, torches and an oil lamp, flanked by the well cast almost naked figures of Cupid and Psyche in a romantic pose, the rectangular plinth with stylised leaf mouldings, applied with a butterfly mount and on decorative feet. 31" x 19" x 7"
