Mixed lot: E. Howard no. 5 weight movement, pendulum and hardware, in a 20 year old case, similar to the no. 11 keyhole.

This case was made on Cape Cod, of old wood, with an old jeweler"s label, meant to deceive. The graining on the case is poor and has been hidden under a lot of dark stain. The new iron dial has been antiqued to look old. There is no known example of an original Howard with a 12' dial (chapter ring) and case length of 33', and you can see the pendulum and tablet decoration are higher than they should be. Still, this is a very good looking and well made clock that runs well and would be perfect for an office or reception area. Height 33'
