But the best part is that the case was designed with a "rocking horse' in the arch, beating in sync with the pendulum swinging in the orifice below. A handy clockmaker might reinstall an American movement and have an interesting clock indeed. Glass and couple bits of MOP are missing; height 28'. Our estimate is a guess:
