with earlier movement from another clock, as-found. This clock looks quite good in the photo, but is very dirty and needs the attention of a clockmaker. When they drilled the movement to fit the rear mount bracket, they left only the holes in the bottom pillars for attaching the cord. And the clock must have belonged to a person with vision impairment, as we have never seen so many scratches around the winding holes on a porcelain dial (no cracks, just wore the glaze coat). This case was made C.1920 by a Swiss cabinet maker to match a set of furniture, and is well made but slightly different dimensions than a factory job. Old weights with poor home-made hooks. Amazingly ticks and strikes. Height 50 inches Movement is worth estimate $275-375
