Featuring a carved bonnet and tapered base. Note the chamfered corners and scroll feet on the mahogany base. Completely original. The eight day movement strikes the hour on an original gong ( not converted from bell), and uses a regulator type dead beat escapement. The painted dial has a seconds bit. Made by William Lamb of Glasgow, a listed clockmaker,C1880. Additional keywords: longcase, tallcase, grandfather
