Case: Wood veneer with nice carved columns; 22" high Works: Eight day time and strike on gong with crossed arrows trade mark which date the clock as before 1893. Hamburg-American was in operation from 1879 to 1930 when it was bought by their major competitor, Junghans.. Reference: The French Marble Clock by Nicolas M.Thorpe Condition: Case; very good. Works; Runs and chimes for several hours and then stops. It needs cleaning.
