C.1890, Baird Clock Co., advertising wall clock

C.1890, Baird Clock Co., advertising wall clock Plattsburg, N.Y., for Vanner and Prest's Molliscorium, and in excellent original condition. This clock retains its signed dial (someone went over the "B" with a ballpoint pen), good label (with Vanner and Prest, London, partial overpaste), original movement, and original embossed pendulum. Although Baird made more clocks for this firm than any other, most have suffered dial damage or case refinishing, while this one is virtually untouched, with minor wear to the finish and dial commensurate with age. Note dial and movement are turned slightly in case, but appear to have been that way from the start. Other minor nicks and scrapes.
