for the Dutch Market, a decorative clock with several individual panels of enamel on copper, all finely decorated in blue on white with bells and urns and cherubs. In the bottom font panel two young people are shown hitting a large bell with hammers, one labeled "mid-day", the other with a blind-fold and labeled "mid-night". The panels offset by the ebonized walnut case, which is carved in geometric designs. The well made quarter striking French movement is signed simply 'GV', and with serial number 72237; Height 22"
