a gilt brass and bronzed Industrial mantel timepiece, the beam pendulum flanked by two pistons (weights on the rods invisible within the pistons forming part of the complex pendulum, the rods moving up and down in the pistons as the clock runs). The whole on a shaped plinth and a further black marble base with bronze feet. A similar clock sold at Sothebys Meraux sale on June 28, 1993, lot 51.
