220 Regent Street, London, in very good original condition. The case is hand tooled repousse silver, with cupid, other winged cherubs, a dog and a dove, and with British hallmarks on the base (with Mappin signature). The only thing that keeps this from being excellent is a hairline in the porcelain dial at 3 o'clock. The entire back hinges open for attending to the well made tiny French movement with a tiny lever platform on top, serial number 52490. The silvered plate movement is signed JTC, but we could not find a reference. Nice folding winder keeps you from losing a key (note part of one screw head broke during a recent repair). A very well made and attractive clock, in running order. Height (handle up) 4".
