center seconds, in very good condition, clean and running. There are a couple of hairlines in the porcelain dial, lower right, but the beveled glass is good. As is typical of Swiss work, the layout of the strike-work is unique. See image of the back plate, where the rack, snail, warning piece and repeat button all reside, whereas in French clocks these items lie between the front plate and the dial. But the most eye catching feature is the placement of the contrate wheel in the center of the movement to provide center seconds; original silvered platform. The gilding with some wear but still quite bright. Height 7"
