pet. Sonnerie, as-found, from storage. This clock came to us from a barn in Maine, and was in the midst of restoration when its owner died several years ago. When the finish was removed, some bits of floral inlay came out, + some small moldings lost, and they need replacing and some finish applied. The door is inlet for a stick barometer, all of which is missing. The 3-train rolling moon movement needs service; it strikes "ding-dong" quarters, plus 4 ding-dongs prior to the hour, which is struck on a large 3rd bell at top. The dial plate and feet look to have been made new maybe 50 years ago and never finished; spandrels and chapter old; seat board is new. This clock is for a dedicated restorer. Height 99" ( tallcase, grandfather)
