timepiece, on an ormolu lyre frame rising from a black marble base. This is an exquisite little clock, with original gilding intact. The heavy bezel is cast with tiny little leaves, all finely chased, and the lyre itself with a border of acanthus leaves. The finely pierced hands have been straightened a couple of times, but are still intact and well detailed. The right column is bent slightly inward at the top. The dial has been professionally repaired in London (excellent job, and not uncommon on a clock of this age). There is no dome with this clock, but it is a relatively small size that should be easy to locate. Running. Height 13"
