in loin cloth holding a ball on a rope, the ball containing a good bell striking, platform movement. The statue is signed Auguste Moreau and with a Paris foundry stamp (see detail image). The ball is painted dark green (with minor dings) and with applied gilt bronze Roman numerals, and the delicate brass hands are finely tooled. This is a LARGE and impressive clock, so be sure to look at the dimensions; minor wear to high spots on the statue, and a couple of runs in old touch-up paint, but overall in very good condition; Height 23"
