signed H. Capt. This is a pleasant pastoral scene, a church on a lake, with people on a boat and on the shore, the Alps in the distance. The well made French movement with a tiny 1º" dial. The painting is hinged and you raise it to wind the movement and attend to adjustments. The pull wind music box plays on winding, but it appears that it was designed to play after the strike. The painting itself is on canvas, with one small repair in the clouds. This clock has been in storage and would benefit from service, but is mechanically sound. A good original piece. Painting dimensions, 28 x 23, frame 36 x 31.
