C.1830, French, Marble and Bronze figural clock

C.1830, French, Marble and Bronze figural clock in very good original condition (except replacement pendulum). The owner's cleaning lady lost the original pendulum and we are providing a new pendulum which will need cutting to length and finishing. This is an attractive mottled yellow marble clock with great subject matteróa child spoon feeding a bird whose nest has fallen and is on the ground by his foot. The well made bell strike movement is complete and sound, but would benefit from service. The silvered engine turned dial is a little dark, but quite crisp, and with original moon hands, and with an early hinged crystal and bezel. The base marble broke in 2 at one time and was glued togetheróno chips missing; owing to weight, will be disassembled for shipment if sold to absentee bidder. Height 20 inches
