in the shape of a sectioned urn, with grape and lion mounts to the sides and surmounted by a pineapple finial. For a similar clock, see Tardy's La Pendule Francaise, part 2, page 382, figure 2. This clock has a well made movement with silk thread suspension, and finely pierced hands (the minute hand with a repair). The porcelain dial is good, with minor chips by the left winding hole; the dial is clearly signed: H. Laresche, a`Paris, and with F/S adjustment above the 12. This clock has been recently cleaned and seems to run and strike OK; a good period antique. Height 15 "
