for Ball Watch Co., Cleveland (engraved on dial), Tambour No. 5, Ship's strike, with 6" special dial with raised bronze numerals. This was Chelsea catalog number 3257, listing at the time for $147. The serial number is 149057, and the case is finished in brushed brass. The clock is running and striking. We would have expected a plain dial with no retailer to sell for around $1200, but the extras on this clock should bring a premium. Height 11.3"
