unsigned, from an individual craftsman, with a Chelsea banjo movement, serial number 183953 (C.1928). The case is nicely carved and with gesso and bright gold leaf. The original tablets have their background flaking. The attaching nuts for the movement have been crudely inlet into the case back, but it is quite secure and in no danger of coming apart. Seems to run fine and is especially attractive. Height 39"
