23 October 2024
30-Hour upside-down movement carved column and splat shelf clock, with restorations. This is one of Hoadley's Franklin labeled clocks. The case has been refinished, and both the columns and eagle splat are recently carved, well disguised under several coats of finish. (nice detail on carving) The dial appears in very nice condition (some restoration) with original hands. The three glasses appear original but have been out of the door. The lower glass which reads "Time is Money" is cracked. The label is in excellent condition and the movement appears to be all original. The pendulum bob is new. Still, a clock that you don't see very often. Height 38"
