C.1890, French, A Monumental Bronze 3-Piece clock garniture set in temple motif. This is a very imposing set measuring 36 inches wide by 27 inches high, and is in good original condition. The multi piece dial is cast brass with 12 individual cartouche with Roman numerals, the XII professionally replaced. The well made count wheel movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell. The case itself is made up of many intricate castings, all screwed together; it was originally brightly gilded, most of which is worn away. All of the candle holders are present, however half the drip cups are missing (modern replacements are OK substitutes). Note camera angle makes the candle stands looks as if they are leaning outward. Large and heavy. Height 27"
