in a Jugendstil floor case, as-found. This clock came to us from storage and had 7 layers of dust on it, plus some loose veneer from being damp (some veneer still needs attention). Amazingly the meter pendulum movement is so well made that it ticks and strikes through all the dust (we only ran it enough to verify mechanical integrity). In Europe this style attracts the type of collector that goes after New York Art Deco; it is extreme in its presentation. One weight has been through the bottom of the upper case and that seam needs some mending. There is a heavy plate of beveled glass in the door and with original key lock. For the trendy art crowd, this is worth considering. Movement and nickeled brass components are original to the case. Height 79" ( grandfather, tallcase )
