Planchon is well known for producing late 19th Century copies of rare 17th Century clocks, and this is an example. A small votive candle placed behind the dial will illuminate the time through the pierced and revolving chapter ring. Basically, instead of a rotating hour hand, you have a rotating dial; a pierced dove above the center points to the time. This is a very well made clock and certain to appeal to those who like something different. Height 13"
