Description:German wall clock was produced in the Black Forest of Germany by the Gustav Becker clock Co. around 1870. Carvings that depict two birds at the crown of the clock-sitting on either side of a bunch of grapes. Under the birds (in the middle of the case), is...on the left, a Fox lusting for a taste of the luscious fruit hanging overhead. On the right side of the case is a Hound eagerly eyeing the Fox. At the bottom of the case is another bunch of grapes. Carved in the inimitable style of the Old World German wood carvers, brass movement. The case was professionally refinished at some point in its history.
