in generally good original condition, with the exception of the hands. This is an early production model with John C. Briggs patents of Aug., 1855 and July, 1856 stamped on top plate. Early "spider" cast metal winding key on bottom. Dial and bezel are original, though paper dial is worn. Pendulum ball is original. Hands are old, perhaps replacements. Height to top of shade 73/4"
