the movement and dial forming the actual pendulum of the clock, and with knife edge suspension. Similar clocks are pictured and described in detail in Tardy's Part II, with over 5 pages devoted to various lyre configuration clocks. This one was made in the 19th century by Marti (and with Medaille d' Bronze trademark). The dial was damaged near "V" and received a professional repair (looks very nice), and the dark red minute indications for 20 and 25 have been repainted (also well done). The movement is clean and running; strikes the hours on a bell at the rear. Height 22"
