C.1910, French, Leroy, Horoger du Roy, Paris, lyre form mantel clock with swinging brilliants, 8-day time and strike.
Condition: overall very good condition, this is a 20th century version of the lyre clock, and the case seems to be simulated white marble substance that a Frenchman formulated; it looks like the "real thing". The brightly gilded ormolu is original and in good condition. The hands do fit but are a little long, and are probably from another clock. Fancy dial is perfect. The pendulum bob only has been made recently to fit, as the original was misplaced. Clock seems to run fine and has a "good look" Height 15.5 inches

Condition: The gilding is worn in spots and has been brushed over with gold paint. The porcelain dial has chips around both winding holes, from using a key too large, otherwise, dial is OK, with fancy polychrome decorations. C.1960, French, Swinging movement lyre form timepiece, 8-day (home made).
Condition: This is a copy of a 19th century lyre form case in mahogany and mahogany veneer. The person who made this did a fair job, but the case has developed lifting of the veneer and some cracks. He used old brass furniture trim to accent the mahogany. The movement is mounted in a brass cylinder and with a bezel from another clock for the rear end, and with knife edge suspension. The porcelain dial has been repaired and has hairline cracks. A skilled woodworker could improve this case or use it for parts. Height 18 inches
