This clock uses a ship's wheel to regulate the time. In the same animated style as the oarsman, the wheel rotates back and forth so long as the clock is wound. The outer porcelain dial has fine hairlines at the 1 and 9 o'clock position (only visible on close inspection); the inner dial is fine. The beveled glass panels are perfect; the hands are original. A very eye catching clock. Height 11 1/2"
